These earrings are inspired by the city of P a l m y r a, one of S y r i a ’s most treasured archaeological sites.
P a l m y r a was once a bustling, iconic site in S y r i a, celebrated globally for its architecture and rich cultural heritage. This city was a living testament to the ancient civilizations, until I S I S invaded P a l m y r a in 2015, demolishing many of its irreplaceable structures, statues, and artifacts in a calculated act of cultural eradication.
Yet, amidst the ruins, hope emerged. The local community rallied together to safeguard what was left of their heritage. Internationally, UNESCO and other organizations initiated urgent responsive actions, highlighting P a l m y r a 's significance to global heritage.
Today, restoration efforts continue. Locals and international experts are collaborating, not just to rebuild the physical structures but to revive the spirit of P a l m y r a.
In solidarity with this endeavors, all proceeds from each P a l m y r a Earring is dedicated to these concerted efforts.
